For many years he headed the newspaper "Siverskodonetsk Chemist" and is the secretary of the Luhansk regional organization of the National Union of Artists (Journalists) of Ukraine.

Semen Aronovich devoted his entire life to researching and popularizing the history of our region. His fundamental work — the two-volume edition "Prydintsiyya: Ukrainian Character. History and Modernity of the Siverskodonetsk Territorial Community" — systematically refutes hostile fakes and affirms the Ukrainian identity of our city.

His historical documentary project "Siverskodonetsk: Deoccupation of Memory" received high international recognition and became the winner of a prestigious program in Vienna.

As the head of the School of Young Journalists, Semen Aronovich has raised more than one generation of Ukrainian media professionals. And even today, while in evacuation, he continues his active volunteer and creative activities, maintaining the information front and preserving the cultural brand of Siverskodonetsk.

🔸Boris Nikolaevich Romanov is an artist, graphic artist, and master of bookplates (a book mark that identifies the owner of a book).

The artist has created over 400 book signs and his works are known not only in Siverskodonetsk, but throughout the world.
Previously, he often participated in international exhibitions and competitions, his graphic miniatures are in the International Center for Bookplates in Belgium, as well as in private collections in China, the USA, and European countries.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the 74-year-old artist and his wife left for the Dnieper. In Siverskodonetsk, Boris Romanov left his workshop, artwork, and tools. A valuable collection of bookplates was evacuated along the Bakhmutsky road under shelling to the Dnieper.

Having moved in March 2022, in May, the artist initiated his personal exhibition "My Shevchenko" at the House of Arts, which became an important event in the cultural life of Dnipro.

In 2023, Boris Romanov was awarded the Fedor Reshetnikov Art Prize (for graphics). This is the first time that a non-resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region received this award.

Boris Romanov found inspiration for his works in his proximity to nature. He believed that a person can find beauty wherever he is, and from this beauty he can draw ideas, experiences and create. The artist created bookmarks for famous people in Ukraine: writers, actors, singers, politicians.

A special place among Boris Romanov's bookplates is occupied by the signs dedicated to Taras Shevchenko. These book signs are also kept in the National Museum of Taras Shevchenko, the National Museum of Literature of Ukraine, the Museum of Book and Printing in Kyiv, the Kobzar Museum in Cherkasy, and the Shevchenko Museum in Beijing.

After his death, the artist held as many as 4 exhibitions within a year.
