I wish you health, dear Ukrainians!
Many things today. There were reports from the military, the Commander-in-Chief. We continue counteroffensive actions in the Donetsk direction - the Pokrovska district, the Dobropillya district. That was one of the most important directions of their offensive for the Russians, and they were unable to launch a full-fledged offensive there, our military is destroying their forces. The Russians have suffered significant losses, the exchange fund for our state has also been significantly replenished - every day Russian prisoners are added. I want to thank all our units that are involved. The 79th, 82nd airborne assault brigades, our assault units - the 1st, 33rd, 225th, 425th assault regiments, the 14th brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. Thank you, soldiers! Kupyansk, as well as the areas around the city - we are defending our positions, thank you to all the brigades. There will also be new deep strikes of ours in response to what Russia is doing. I held a Headquarters meeting today. The main thing is the production of our weapons. There are clear volumes that our army needs by the end of the year, as well as what is needed for the next year and what we should have in our warehouses for defense, to maintain sufficient strength. Of course, this includes sufficient funding for the production of weapons here in Ukraine, and production together with partners, and the supply to Ukraine of what our partners produce themselves. The deficit in financing for the production of weapons will be covered from this year, in particular, thanks to the managed export of some types of our weapons. Thanks to such managed exports, we will increase the production of drones for the front. We will have finances. Certain types of weapons - and these are modern weapons - we can produce in much larger volumes than we can finance ourselves, and certain types of weapons we already have in much larger volumes than we really need today in Ukraine. An example is naval drones, which the world is counting on and which we have in surplus, as well as anti-tank weapons, some other types. That is, the first priority is the front, providing our brigades, the second priority is our Ukrainian arsenals, and only the third priority is such a managed export. Within two weeks, a concept will be presented - three new export platforms. The first platform is for export and interaction with the United States of America, the second platform is our European partners, the third direction is other partners in the world who are also interested in Ukrainian weapons and from whom Ukraine has received one or another support. It is imperative that they also help us, so that we help them. Now it is Ukrainians, it is Ukrainian companies, the Ukrainian army that have one of the strongest experiences of modern warfare, and this largely concerns advanced weapons, advanced technologies. Ukraine will not engage in "armed charity" and help those who are indifferent to Ukraine. We are ready to work with those who really supported us, our independence. Of course, there must be reliable export control - so that the Russians and their accomplices do not get access to Ukrainian technologies, our weapons. Our Ukrainian companies, arms manufacturers, have talked a lot about this. There is a lot of interest in the world in joint projects with Ukraine for the production of arms. There is also a clear demand for our weapons. Accordingly, thanks to managed exports, we will be able to accumulate money for more production of the things that our army needs.
And one more thing that strengthens the army.
I thank the parliamentarians for adopting my bill on the military ombudsman. This is about the real protection of the rights of our soldiers. The law has already been signed and published, and today I signed a decree to put the law into effect – a decree on the establishment of the Office of the Military Ombudsman. The regulations on the work of this institution have also been approved, and I will appoint Olga Reshetylova – a person our soldiers know well – as the first Ukrainian military ombudsman. Ahead is the launch of the institution, systemic work. It is important that this is tangible at all levels in the Defense Forces of Ukraine: we are doing what strengthens the army, we are also doing what strengthens the soldiers in our army. Thank you to everyone who helps! Thank you to everyone who works for our Ukraine, to everyone who fights for our state.
Glory to Ukraine!
