Today, May 8, we honor those who defeated Nazism. At that time, Ukraine became the epicenter of pain, losing one in five. We believed that "never again" was forever.
But evil has returned. Russia, which has appropriated the status of a “liberator,” has itself become the latest aggressor. The same crimes, the same torture, the same desire to destroy free people. Today, we are not just remembering history — we are again fighting totalitarianism, now in the form of racism.
Hundreds of thousands of our compatriots fought on the fronts, worked in the rear, were partisans and underground fighters. Their contribution to the victory is invaluable.
We honor everyone who fought against Nazism, we preserve the memory of the fallen heroes and all the victims of World War II. We thank everyone: veterans of the past war for their example and modern defenders — for our every morning.
True Victory is not parades, but a liberated land and a peaceful sky.
Let's stand up, just like we did 80 years ago.
We defeated Nazism - we will defeat racism too.
We remember the dead. We honor the living.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
