According to the SBU materials, a sniper from the "LPR" who fought against the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Eastern Front was sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment

According to the evidence base of counterintelligence and investigators of the Security Service, a sniper of an occupation unit who fought against Ukraine was sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Since March 2022, he has participated in the capture of part of the territory of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

According to the investigation, the militant is a 42-year-old resident of Luhansk region. Since the beginning of the full-scale war in the Russian Federation, he has been mobilized to the "4th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 2nd army corps of the people's militia "LPR". Currently, this unit is part of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces.

It was established that as a sniper, the traitor participated in battles against the Defense Forces in the area of ​​Siverskodonetsk, Lysychansk, and Kadiivka. In addition, he strengthened the positions of the occupiers and stormed Bakhmut.

For this, the Rashists awarded him the "gold star" of the hero of the "LPR".

Now, based on the evidence of the Security Service investigators, the court found the militant guilty of parts 1 and 2 of Article 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Since the convict is hiding in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, comprehensive measures are underway to bring him to justice for the crimes committed against our state.

The investigation was conducted by SBU officers in Cherkasy region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
