The Security Service of Ukraine has documented the illegal activities of a collaborator from temporarily occupied Siverskodonetsk, who is spreading Kremlin propaganda and imposing the ideology of the aggressor country on young people.
According to the case materials, in the summer of 2022, during fierce fighting in the Luhansk region, the former history teacher was initially in the city and later left for western Ukraine. However, after the occupation of Siverskodonetsk, he returned to the city and began to actively cooperate with the invaders.
In particular, the defendant became a participant in a propaganda television program on the Russian streaming platform "Let's Watch TV Channel Russia 1", which combines content from the Kremlin's central and regional media resources.
During the interview, the attacker uttered standard Russian clichés about the "Ukrainian occupation of Siverskodonetsk," "heroic militias of Novorossiya," and alleged "war crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine." He actively promoted the fake that the city had always been pro-Russian, and claimed that he felt "euphoria" from the arrival of the occupiers, as he had been waiting for this for eight years.
He is currently a “deputy” of the so-called “Council of the Siverskodonetsk Municipal District of the LPR” from Putin’s United Russia party. In this position, he oversees projects aimed at promoting the war against Ukraine and glorifying occupation groups among school and college students.
In addition, through his own Internet resource, the pseudo-deputy popularizes the Russian ruling party and the activities of the occupation structures in the region.
The offender's activities were classified under Part 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (information cooperation with the aggressor state and its occupation administration). He was notified of the suspicion in absentia.
The sanction of the article provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
It should be noted that the perpetrator already has a criminal record in absentia for high treason and collaboration. He is wanted.
The investigation is being conducted by employees of the Main Directorate of the SBU in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural guidance of the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
