The Siverskodonetsk community celebrated Ukraine's Independence Day with a solemn event

In a forced evacuation, but with unwavering faith in their hearts, our fellow countrymen gathered together at our cultural center in Dnipro to celebrate Ukraine's Independence Day. The holiday brought together community residents, the leadership of the Siverskodonetsk CMA, students of creative circles, and guests.

A special moment of the event was the meeting with Kyrylo Nedreu (call number - "Associate Professor"). The candidate of historical sciences, lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the reserve and director of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after Oleksandr Gostishchev shared his breathtaking memories.

Since the end of August 2014, when the fighting for Donetsk Airport reached its peak, Kirill has directly led the defense of the old airport building (workshops), and since September, the New Terminal. It was then, in mid-September, that the enemy first called the defenders “cyborgs” — a name that the President picked up and that has forever gone down in history as a symbol of superhuman resilience.

Independence Day has a special meaning for our community, which continues to live and create in forced evacuation. It is not only a celebration, but also a testament to our indomitability, strength of spirit, and faith in the future.

The community lives, develops, and preserves its identity despite all challenges.
This is clearly confirmed by the craftsmen from the decorative and applied arts collective “Oberig pokolin” of the Siverskodonetsk Palace of Culture (head Iryna Koreva) and the students of the Siverskodonetsk Art School. They once again proved at the exhibition that creativity has no boundaries.

The event began with the most important thing - the National Anthem of Ukraine and a moment of silence, with which those present honored each and every person who gave their lives for the freedom of Ukraine.

The soloists of the vocal ensemble "Forest Song" of the Siverskodonetsk Palace of Culture performed adult songs in a completely different way from the childish ones. The ensemble's leader, Augustina Zhuravel, also sang.

The vocal ensemble "Suzirya" of the Siverskodonetsk Music School (director - Svitlana Tysyachna) presented real medicine for the soul.

And Iryna Koreva treated everyone to a special Luhansk wedding loaf, which she baked as part of the national competition "My Independence Pie".

We are united by pride in our country and boundless love for our native land.
A low bow to the Defense Forces of Ukraine and everyone who defends our Independence every day! Thanks to everyone who helps our soldiers.

Happy holiday!
