The educational series "Mine Safety" is designed to provide vital knowledge about mine threat and explosive ordnance (UXO). Ukraine is the most mined country in the world, and everyone should be aware of the potential dangers in cities and villages.
The series covers topics such as recognizing and avoiding dangerous areas, identifying types of mines and ERW, and what to do if you find them. Special attention is paid to the remains of missiles, drones, artillery and mortar shells, grenades, and aerial bombs that can be found all over the country. You will learn what they look like and how to act safely.
The series also teaches children to recognize markers and signs that indicate dangerous areas. Simple instructions will help them avoid dangers and respond correctly in the event of an emergency.
If you notice mines, shells, missiles, explosives, and suspicious enemy objects, report them to the eVorog chatbot from the main screen of the Diia application.
The educational series was created for Diia.Education with the information support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the technical support of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) as part of the BBC Media Action project, which is part of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Project in Ukraine, funded by the Government of Japan.
