The Memorandum of Cooperation on the implementation of the Swiss-Ukrainian DECIDE project "Decentralization for the Development of Democratic Education" was concluded between the public organization "Development of Civic Competencies in Ukraine" and the Luhansk Regional State Administration - Regional Military Administration.
The goal and objectives of the DECIDE Project will be implemented within two interrelated components:
- Component 1, focused on building the capacity of government bodies to effectively implement reforms of debureaucratization and digitalization of education management;
- Component 2, aimed at increasing the efficiency and transparency of education management in partner territorial communities. In particular, through the involvement of youth in decision-making at the local level.
An important area of cooperation is the development of strategic documents in the field of education, the development of civic activism, and the implementation of a career guidance system for children and adolescents.
In Luhansk region, the DECIDE project will, in particular, contribute to: implementing the reform of specialized secondary education; updating the Development Strategy of Luhansk region for 2021-2027 with a focus on education; and updating the Strategy for the Restoration and Development of Education of Luhansk region for 2023-2027 .
The document was signed by the deputy head of the organization, Valentyna Poltorak, on behalf of the NGO "Development of Civic Competencies in Ukraine", and by the head of the Luhansk OAO, Oleksiy Kharchenko.
