Podkolzin Oleksandr Volodymyrovych
On February 11, 2025, Siverskodonetsk resident Oleksandr Podkolzin, a patrol policeman in the Luhansk region, was killed.
This was reported by the Patrol Police of Ukraine .
Oleksandr joined the patrol police in 2017. Almost immediately, he joined the TOR company of the Luhansk region — at that time, this unit was just being formed.
In 2021, he became one of the first fighters of the TacTeam of Luhansk Region. He underwent strict selection, complex training, and within a few months, a full-scale invasion began.
Oleksandr is remembered by colleagues and comrades-in-arms:
"He quickly became one of the best: he performed dozens of tasks every day, apprehended criminals, compiled administrative materials. He was always in excellent physical shape, constantly training."
"Calm, balanced, responsible, cheerful, sincere. People like him are worth their weight in gold."
"Always positive, proactive. He was in both the mortar and infantry, took on any job and never hid from war."
Together with his comrades, he evacuated about 45,000 civilians from shelling in Siverskodonetsk, Lysychansk, Rubizhne, and Popasna. There, he received chemical burns after an enemy attack on the Zorya plant, but refused treatment and remained in the ranks.
In the spring of 2023, he joined the infantry of the "Predator" brigade under the pseudonym Farmer. In 2024, he studied to be an FPV operator, participated in the battles for Toretsk, defended Sumy Region, where he was wounded in the arm, underwent rehabilitation, and returned to the front line.
The soldier is survived by his wife and a daughter, who will be starting first grade this year.
The Siverskodonetsk city military administration bows its head in grief. Eternal Memory and Honor, the Kingdom of Heaven... Sincere condolences to the family of the fallen Hero, his loved ones, friends, and brothers....
Eternal memory to Alexander Podkolzin!
