About the situation in Luhansk region as of the morning of 03/20/2026

First-graders in occupied Luhansk region will be taught a lesson on "traditional values"; in Svatove, no one is turning off mobile communications, unlike in Siverskodonetsk and Rubizhne; the enemy is attacking near Hrekivka and Nadiya

"The Russians launched 18 assaults on the Lymanskaya sector of the front. Another 12 on the Siverskaya sector. A significant part of the attacks came in the directions of Hrekivka and Nadiya. In addition, the enemy tried to advance from the side of Tverdokhlibovye," said the head of the Luhansk region, Oleksiy Kharchenko. "In ten cases, the invaders carried out artillery attacks. They fired mortars six times and used automatic grenade launchers. They directed 17 drones at the fortifications of the Ukrainian defenders."

The occupiers continue to mock the school curriculum in the occupied territories. Thus, in the new school year, a lesson on “traditional spiritual and moral Russian values” will be introduced for first-graders in the Luhansk region. In the Russian Federation, this course is designed for high school students, first-year and second-year college students. However, the occupiers decided to adapt it for children with special educational needs. Special textbooks will soon be delivered to schools. Hours for conducting lessons will be added to the schedule.

For several years, residents of Lysychansk, Siverskodonetsk, Rubizhne and other front-line settlements in the occupied territories have not had mobile communication. The Russians turned it off. They say it was for security reasons. However, for example, in the Svativ region, where the front is even closer in places, no one forbade using mobile communication. On the contrary, the other day the local occupation administration once again announced that they do not plan to limit the signal in the region.
