The Security Service, together with the State Bureau of Investigation, has collected evidence on another traitor from the Luhansk region, who is cooperating with the aggressor country and helping to fill its budget.
According to the investigation, the defendant is the former chief state inspector of the "Siverskodonetsk" customs post of the Luhansk customs.
After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, a third-rank customs service advisor ignored the instructions of the State Customs Service leadership to evacuate personnel from the combat zone.
Instead, the woman first moved to the territory temporarily occupied by the enemy, then to the Russian Federation, and from August 2022 went to serve the invaders.
She was accepted into the law enforcement fiscal body of the Russian Federation - the Federal Tax Service and appointed to the position of state tax inspector of the department of office inspections in the city of Sergiev Posad (Moscow region).
Currently, the defendant controls the correctness of the calculation and payment of taxes stipulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation, which form the budget of the aggressor country, from which the war against Ukraine is financed.
Based on the collected evidence, the woman was notified in absentia of suspicion of treason under martial law, i.e. under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of 15 years to life imprisonment.
The comprehensive measures were carried out by SBU operatives in the Zhytomyr region together with investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation located in Khmelnytskyi, under the procedural guidance of the Zhytomyr Regional Prosecutor's Office.
