According to the SBU, ten more traitors who fought against the Defense Forces in eastern Ukraine received 15 years in prison

According to the evidence base of military counterintelligence and investigators of the Security Service, ten more militants who fought against Ukraine in the ranks of armed groups of the Russian Federation received 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

According to the case materials, Ukrainian defenders took them prisoner during the battles in the Pokrov, Kramatorsk, and Siversky directions.

Thus, seven convicts are residents of the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region, who at different times voluntarily joined the 1st, 5th, 100th, 114th, and 132nd motorized rifle brigades of the army of the aggressor country.

Among them are shooters, a flamethrower, and a driver who participated in the "meat" assaults on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Pokrovske.

Two residents of Luhansk region who signed contracts with the 7th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian troops, where one of them was appointed as a driver and the other as a rifleman, also received real prison terms.

In the ranks of the Rashists, traitors fought in the area of ​​Siverskodonetsk and built fortifications near Lysychansk.

They were later transferred to the Seversky direction to attack units of the Defense Forces, where they were taken prisoner.

Another convict is a native of Crimea who joined the Russian occupation groups and was appointed to the position of rifleman of the 72nd separate motorized rifle brigade.

After joining the ranks of the Rashists, the attacker participated in battles near Svitlodarsk, and later received an order to attack the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Kostyantynivka, where he was taken prisoner.

According to materials from the Security Service, the court found all ten traitors guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

Part 1, 2 of Article 111 (high treason);

Part 7 of Article 111-1 (collaborative activities).

The investigation was conducted jointly with investigators of the Main Directorate of the SBU in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
