I wish you health, dear Ukrainians!
It is important to say a few things about this day. There was a report from our military: Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky and General Staff – Andriy Gnatov. About our frontline activity and actions against the occupier and about Russian assaults. This month has changed the dynamics in our favor, in favor of Ukraine: we are holding our positions more, inflicting more damage. And the particularly significant impact of our long-range sanctions against Russia. Today, I approved the plans for our long-range for June, and we must creatively develop Ukrainian long-range sanctions, which showed their strength in May. I am grateful to all our soldiers for their accuracy. We also discussed the situation on the front – Pokrovsky, Konstantinovsky directions. Kharkiv region, our Zaporizhzhia – in key details. I identified solutions that need to be implemented, and for this we will increase the supply of equipment to the troops. IRC, drones, separate funding for combat brigades – these are our unchanging priorities.
We spoke in detail today with Foreign Minister Andriy Szybiga about Ukraine's tasks for May-June. A lot of bilateral work. And it is very important that there is communication with the new Hungarian authorities at the level of our teams. Ukraine is interested in normal good-neighborly relations, in full-fledged cooperation. And we are doing our part of the work for this. There were good contacts between Ukraine and Georgia - it is time to normalize relations. Of course, we are working on the subject of European institutions. Ukraine deserves to be part of the European Union, and even in times of war, fighting for its independence and defending its statehood, we are moving towards full-fledged European integration of Ukraine. We are ready to open clusters in the negotiation process and are in contact to determine a schedule for such steps. This week we are also preparing for substantive communication with key European countries.
And one more thing.
What Ukrainians, Ukraine have long hoped to begin. The return to our land, to our independent sovereign state – and with due respect – of those who fought for Ukraine, who wanted Ukraine to be independent. But times were different, and opportunities were different. Our Ukrainian heroes of different times, who defended the idea of independence, fought for our state and are buried in Europe, in America, in different countries. We are returning them. We have the opportunity and moral obligation to rebury them here, in Ukraine, at home. Now such a process has begun regarding Colonel Andriy Melnyk and his wife Sofia. Iconic Ukrainians of the 20th century, who are respected. Decisions are being prepared regarding Colonel Yevhen Konovalets and other strong historical figures. The Ukrainian people deserve their historical memory, and we are strengthening this true memory. Thank you to everyone who helps us! The Office team is now focused on this task in particular. Thank you!
Glory to Ukraine!
