"The communities of Luhansk region are in first place in terms of support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Over 30% of community budgets and almost 20% of the regional budget are directed to defense purposes. This is almost 800 million UAH. We are doing everything possible to help those who are holding the front. And this should be realized by the units that contact us with requests for the purchase of military equipment. Each position must be substantiated," - the head of the Luhansk OVA, Oleksiy Kharchenko, commented on the results of the meeting of the Regional Defense Council.

The Council considered eight requests from military units for the purchase of UAVs of various modifications, electronic warfare equipment, spare parts for their repair, and vehicles for military needs for a total amount of UAH 81.461 million.

Three requests, previously processed by the Transparency and Accountability Working Group, have not been approved by the Defense Council. They will be considered after a more detailed justification of the price offers provided by the military units.

Following the discussion, the council members approved the allocation of UAH 49.244 million for the needs of the 100th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 63rd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, military unit A1588, the Main Police Department in the Luhansk region, and the Security Service of Ukraine.
