Dear Ukrainians!
Work is still ongoing in Kyiv in the areas after the Russian strikes. There was a lot of ballistics – one of the largest strikes today was ballistics. Kyiv and the region were a key target for the Russians: they had been preparing this attack for several days, stockpiling missiles. Of course, the danger remains even now – this must be taken into account. It is on ballistics that Russia is betting, and thanks to ballistics, Putin still continues to believe in his war. Our air defense forces and all the sky defenders managed to shoot down 18 missiles today and neutralize more than a hundred drones. It is very important that our partners understand what is happening and that we need air defense missiles to protect life literally every day. I very much hope that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and other government officials along the entire line will promptly talk to our partners about the packages that we have already agreed on. It is important to speed everything up – both from our European partners and from the United States of America. We need a result every day. The strike has damaged more than a hundred objects in Kyiv and Kyiv region to date. There were also strikes today in Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Kherson. I am grateful to everyone who really helps people, who saves lives.
Today I continued talking with experienced Ukrainian military personnel. Mykhailo Drapatiy, Volodymyr Horbatyuk, Oleh Apostol – each of them is well known in the army. And these were reports on the situation in the directions, and in general a conversation on the situation in the war. It is important to assess our further strategy, our Ukrainian active actions, how to force Russia to end this war with a worthy peace for Ukraine and guaranteed security. This has different components, and I want to hear how the commanders and commanders in our Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine see it. Tomorrow – I have key conversations. Ukraine must achieve its goals, and it will happen.
One more thing.
We continue to implement the plan of long-range sanctions against Russia for the war. The oil industry, supplies for the occupation contingent, our Ukrainian mid-strikes and long-range strikes are our responses to what Russia is doing against Ukraine and to how Russians think. You can’t just “live life” and not notice anything when your country kills a neighboring country. You need to influence Moscow. You need to put pressure on us to make peace. That’s how we work.
