On the birthday of the Great Kobzar, Luhansk residents traditionally gathered near the Shevchenko monument, as was the case until 2014 in Luhansk and until 2022 in Siverskodonetsk. Today - in Dnipro.

"Unfortunately, our land is not only being sprinkled with "enemy evil blood" today. At the cost of their own lives, the Defenders of Ukraine are fighting for the independence of our state, including in the Luhansk region. They are fighting for the Ukraine that Taras Shevchenko dreamed of, and they will definitely win," said the head of the Luhansk region, Oleksiy Kharchenko, who also joined the solemn event.

Together with the head of the Luhansk Region Armed Forces, law enforcement officers, community leaders, and public representatives of the Luhansk region laid flowers at the foot of the monument to the Kobzar on Monastyrsky Island in the city of Dnipro.
