I wish you health!

Briefly about today. First, in the morning we spoke with Prime Minister Svyrydenko and Energy Minister Shmyhal about the situation after the Russian strikes. There were significant outages in the Chernihiv region, now part of the region is without electricity. Repair work is ongoing. There was a second strike. Nevertheless, the necessary forces for restoration have been involved. I want to thank everyone who is working for the people and for the sake of having light. Zaporizhia - repair work is also ongoing after the strike on an energy facility. They have to restore the supply. There were strikes in Sumy region, there were strikes in Dnipro region, strikes in Donetsk region, our Kharkiv region. Wherever it is needed, units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, emergency and repair teams, and utility services are operating. Everyone is working.

Second. Our team is now in America, there was already a meeting today. From the American side – Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. It is important for all of us in the world that diplomacy continues and we are trying to end this war – Russia’s war against Ukraine. Nobody needs war. The teams will continue to communicate tomorrow. And the most important thing is to understand how much the Russian side is ready to go to the real end of the war and how much they are ready to do it honestly and with dignity. Especially now, when geopolitical problems have only increased due to the Iranian situation. There will be a detailed report from the team.

And the third thing that is worth mentioning. These days, there is another, in my opinion, strong step by France: a tanker of the shadow fleet, which Russia uses to transport oil, was detained. This tanker is already under sanctions from Ukraine, already under sanctions from Britain, the European Union and America. But the Russians are using it anyway. It systematically transports not only Russian, but also Iranian oil. These are real accomplices – Russia and the Iranian regime, even in such things as the shadow fleet – they have practically everything in common. And, stopping one such evil – the Iranian regime – we must remember that there must be appropriate pressure on the second evil. While the war continues, while the strikes continue, pressure on the aggressor must also continue. We are working with European countries so that their legislative regulation allows not only to stop such vessels, but also to block them and confiscate the oil. This must be the case. Thank you to France and all other partners in Europe who are acting decisively. Thank you very much.

And today, Olena and I were in St. Michael's Cathedral. The farewell to Patriarch Filaret is underway. He was a very significant person for Ukraine - a truly historical figure. Energy, character, which changed so much. We remember. We honor his contribution to Ukrainian spiritual independence and the creation of a local church. Bright memory!

Glory to Ukraine!
