President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of the United States of America Donald Trump during the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

"Both the United States and Ukraine want this senseless Russian war to end by winter. We discussed possible de-escalation steps that could open the way to diplomacy," the Head of State noted.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Donald Trump for the fact that the Ukrainian and US teams continue to work on launching the production of Patriot interceptor missiles in Ukraine.

"This is what will help protect lives if Russia rejects negotiations and continues to rely on terror with ballistic missiles against our people this winter and beyond," the President of Ukraine emphasized.

The leaders also discussed other bilateral and multilateral issues, including the winter air defense package for Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked President Trump, his team, and the entire American people for their support.
