The Siverskodonetsk community, as part of a delegation from the Luhansk region, participated in the II International Cohesion Forum

The delegation from Luhansk Region was headed by the Head of the Regional State Administration, Oleksiy Kharchenko.

"Cohesion and Resilience as a Key Factor for the Future of Europe" is the main theme of the event, which was a continuation of the II International Cohesion Forum, which took place on April 16, 2025 in Kyiv.

The event brought together all levels of government and international partners around a shared vision of cohesion as the foundation of Ukraine's resilience. It became a platform for a strategic discussion with the participation of ambassadors of partner countries, representatives of the Government, Parliament and communities, dedicated to issues of resilience, social cohesion and coordination of international support.

Among the speakers: Oleksiy Kuleba - Vice Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community and Territorial Development, Denys Shmyhal - Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Energy, and Oleksandr Korniyenko - First Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The event included networking and establishing new partnerships, a ceremony to sign relevant memorandums, and a solemn ceremony to award communities and regions. An interactive installation was presented to the Forum participants, reflecting the uniqueness of the regions of Ukraine through symbols of their identity, partnerships, and achievements. In particular, a coin with the coat of arms of the Luhansk region and an image of Luhansk was placed on it. The Siverskodonetsk community - a chevron with the image of a peregrine falcon.

"The communities of Luhansk region have a unique experience of restoring social, educational and medical infrastructure in conditions of relocation, preserving local identity against the background of integration into host communities, which, unfortunately, is also needed by other regions of Ukraine today. And we are ready to share it with partners," Oleksiy Kharchenko commented on the event.

The forum is organized by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine within the framework of the flagship partnership of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the European Union (EU) “EU4Recovery — Empowering Communities in Ukraine”.
