Dear Ukrainians!
The main thing for today. Now all the necessary forces are involved in the Dnipro after the Russian strikes. There were "shaheeds", there was ballistics. At food warehouses, at the postal terminal. It is important for everyone to support the Dnipro and each of our cities, each of our communities, which are experiencing Russian strikes.
Today, Mark Rutte and the ambassadors of all NATO member states were in Ukraine. A meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council took place. All representatives of the countries were in Ukraine, after the Russians tried to squeeze our partners out of Ukraine and intimidate embassies. The result was a very symbolic meeting in Kyiv, and the main signal of the meeting was that Ukraine must be supported, supported more. And it is precisely in such issues as anti-ballistics. There are decisions by partners about new contributions to the PURL program - they will be in June. This will help. We are pushing Europe as much as possible to work on its own anti-ballistics - Europe needs to have its own systems, its own missiles, in order to defend itself. And the ability to make an anti-ballistic system in Europe exists, so that production can take place - there are also all the possibilities. It is necessary that political decisions work as quickly as possible. I am grateful to every country that is with us in this task, including France, Norway, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, and others. Europe will really become stronger when this result is achieved. Not if, but when. And it will happen, but time is of the essence, and we need to be more efficient. We discussed the NATO summit in Ankara with the NATO Secretary General – there is an invitation for Ukraine, we will be represented. And the main thing is that the summit be effective for Ukraine. Anti-ballistic missiles are one of these potential results.
Spoke with Cyrus today, the Prime Minister of Britain. We are preparing for negotiations, preparing for meetings, and this is a direction both about weapons for our defense, and about our diplomacy, about our joint diplomacy with Europe to bring the end of the war closer. Europe needs its voice, its position, its contribution to all diplomatic efforts that can be made to end the war. The E3 format - Britain, France and Germany - is an effective format. Plus the "Nordics".
I also spoke today with Jonas, the Prime Minister of Norway. I am grateful for your support, Jonas. Of course, the United States - we communicate with them every day, we very much expect that they will move from the Iranian issue to European issues. The war that Russia has started against Europe, Russia is actually waging against the entire democratic world, and everyone must do their part to stop Russia's aggression and its constant attempts to destabilize everyone around.
And one more thing.
I want to recognize our soldiers who are implementing our Ukrainian long-range sanctions. Thank you, soldiers, for your accuracy! SBU, SBS, SSO, GUR, SZR and other components involved. You are returning the Russian war to the "native harbor" in the most tangible way, and that is where this war should end. Ukraine needs peace. Thank you to everyone who is with Ukraine!
Glory to Ukraine!
