"The Defense Council of the Luhansk region approved the allocation of UAH 70.96 million to support the Defense Forces of Ukraine. These funds will be used to purchase logistical (evacuation) ground robotic complexes, unmanned systems, vehicles, and spare parts for military units. Since the beginning of the year, the Luhansk region has allocated more than UAH 200 million for the needs of the Defense Forces," said the head of the regional military administration, Oleksiy Kharchenko, during a weekly briefing.
He also spoke about meetings with representatives of the regional youth councils and the veteran community. The main goal of these events was to form a policy of active integration of youth and veterans into the development processes of communities in the Luhansk region, preserving the local identity of Luhansk residents. In particular, the issues of creating communication spaces were discussed.
According to the head of the region, almost UAH 1.7 million in aid to military personnel and veterans was allocated by the region's communities this week.
Thus, the Rubizhanska community transferred 900 thousand UAH in aid to 30 defenders and their family members. Lysychanska sent 305 thousand UAH to the Defenders of Ukraine. Novoaydarska – 100 thousand UAH. Kolomyichyska – 234 thousand UAH.
The Siverskodonetsk community has announced a competition for project applications to support entrepreneurial initiatives among veterans and their family members in 2026. One-time assistance of up to UAH 150,000 is provided for starting or developing their own business for Defenders of Ukraine, participants in the ATO/JFO, as well as families of the deceased and missing. Selection is carried out through online registration with subsequent consideration of applications by a specialized commission.
