Dear Ukrainians!
Briefly about today. I conducted a selector in all the regions where there were Russian strikes and hits. Special attention was paid to Chernihiv region, where work was underway to restore electricity all day. I instructed government officials and the team of the President's Office to also work together with our military on air defense issues, in particular protection against drones, in the western regions of Ukraine. We need to add defense lines - this is a clear task. We also know that the Russians are preparing an operation against water supply systems in the coming months, and every community must have a serious attitude, an absolutely responsible attitude, towards protecting the relevant facilities. Once again today, we went through key tasks with the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the head of Naftogaz, other government officials and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine. The Air Force and the Armed Forces of Ukraine also have something to do.
Our diplomatic team is actively working, and in particular we are talking to the countries of the Middle East and the Gulf, which are currently extremely interested in the Ukrainian experience of protection against drones, first of all. We can already see that not only the “shaheeds” are fighting there, in the Middle East and in the Gulf, but also more and more facts about the use of FPV drones. This is a modern war that we must be prepared for. Ukraine has this expertise, and we need – in return for our support – appropriate support in what we have difficulty with here – both protection against ballistic missiles and financial resources for defense. Ukraine offers a mutually beneficial partnership: we can strengthen those who can strengthen us. And now the situation in the world is such that only coordinated and joint actions can guarantee real results and real security. We see that we are being blocked in Europe, and while this risk exists, we need to look for additional opportunities for strengthening. The Middle East and the Gulf are the right perspective, in our opinion, and serious opportunities to strengthen us.
We are also working in detail with our reliable partners in Europe to scale up joint projects in the production of weapons, primarily drones. I am grateful to every country and every leader who is already with us. There will be new agreements - we are preparing them. And, of course, gratitude to our soldiers. Our positions on the front, our positions in domestic production, our strength here, at home - this is what allows Ukraine to attract global attention. Without global attention, it is almost impossible to survive in such a war. And without strong protection, the world does not notice the peoples fighting for freedom. That is why our courage, our strength is the most important Ukrainian asset. We are protecting our state. We are protecting our independence. We are achieving results for Ukraine.
