🕒 On March 29, Ukraine switches to daylight saving time
ℹ️The transition to winter and summer time takes place in accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 509 of 05/13/1996 "On the procedure for calculating time on the territory of Ukraine".
🗓Every year on the last Sunday of March at 3 a.m., the clock is moved forward 1 hour, and on the last Sunday of October at 4 a.m., it is moved back 1 hour.
🌐The time in effect in Ukraine in winter is natural for the territory of our state and corresponds to its geographical location, and from the last Sunday of March to the last Sunday of October, daylight saving time is introduced in order to effectively use the daylight hours.
ℹ️The introduction of summer time is a generally accepted international practice. The EU has Directive 2000/84/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19.01.2001 on summer time, according to which the EU member states introduce summer time at the end of March and winter time at the end of October.
