I wish you health, dear Ukrainians!

Briefly about this day. First, I am grateful to our soldiers for their accuracy: the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces and other components of our defense. There are results of long-range sanctions. In particular, regarding the Caspian Sea region - against a missile ship that can launch "Caliber". There is also a hit in the Perm region against an oil industry facility - this is more than one and a half thousand kilometers from our state border. There were other hits. According to our intelligence, the results of our responses in the Bryansk direction, in Tuapse, in some special oil facilities in Russia - the results are satisfactory for us. Ukraine offered Russia a ceasefire, and this is far from the first proposal from Ukraine. This time - a ceasefire from May 6. Ukraine was ready to ensure complete silence, but in response to this peaceful proposal of ours there were only new Russian strikes, new threats from Russia. They want permission from Ukraine to hold their parade, to go out to the square safely for an hour once a year, and then continue to kill again, kill our people and fight. The Russians are already talking about strikes after May 9. The logic of the Russian leadership is strange and definitely inadequate. We also have appeals from some states close to Russia that their representatives are going to be in Moscow. A strange desire... these days. We do not recommend it.

During this day alone, the Russians struck along the perimeter of our entire state defense line from Chernihiv to Mykolaiv. There were attacks on trains - these were ordinary civilian trains, with no military significance. The Russians also struck energy facilities and ordinary residential buildings, again and again. The Ukrainian position is as transparent and honest as possible: Ukraine will act in a mirror manner. If there were silence, there would be no Ukrainian long-range sanctions.

The second important thing for today: we continue negotiations with representatives of the President of the United States of America - with Witkoff and Kushner. Umerov will talk to them today. Three tasks. Humanitarian matters - we really hope that we will be able to ensure exchanges, this is important. The next thing is to intensify the diplomatic process with Russia. Although there, in Russia, they only think about strikes, we think about bringing peace closer. We need to end the war in Europe - the largest full-scale war since World War II. Tomorrow the world will celebrate the anniversary of the end of the war in Europe in May 1945. The best thing that could honor the memory of all those who fought against fascism and won then would be, of course, peace in Europe. Just like 81 years ago, America can help peace now with its just and strong position against the aggressor. And it is important that the American people treat Russia this way now - as an aggressor. Another component of our talks with representatives of the President of the United States is security arrangements that can strengthen our defense of life. We discussed with our diplomatic team the tasks in working with partners for May, these are weighty things. Air defense is a priority. The resilience of Ukraine is a priority. Support for our people is a priority.
