Today in Kyiv. There were intense visits to Britain and Spain. We have new defense agreements, this applies to both weapons production and support for our entire society. We also presented to our partners the capabilities that we have so that joint defense and joint actions can become stronger. Let's continue this work. And it is felt that the need to coordinate efforts and combine potentials is now greater than ever.

Now the whole world is watching the situation in the Middle East and the Gulf region: the Iranian regime's constant attacks on its neighbors are significantly destabilizing markets and very important energy supply lines. Now many people in the world are talking about protecting energy facilities, about the inadmissibility of energy terrorism against people and entire countries, and about security at sea - free navigation and safe trade routes. All this is truly of global interest. And now you hear such numerous statements from different countries - in many ways they are actually repeating what Ukraine said back in 2022, 2023 about Russian aggressive steps. About the naval blockade of our ports, about Russian attempts to deprive us of access to global trade. Russia has been doing the same thing to our energy sector for years that the Iranian regime is now doing to the infrastructure in its region. There can be no other motive for such targeted aggression against the energy sector, like the Russian strikes against our power plants, against our gas production, and like the current strikes by the Iranian regime against everyone around it, there can be no other motive for these strikes than for the people to suffer. And that is why it is so important that global cooperation, at least now, can provide real security answers - answers for everyone, for Europe as well. The strikes by the remnants of the Iranian regime against Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates and other countries are actually strikes against global stability and European energy security. Ukraine is ready to join joint security initiatives in order to stabilize the situation as soon as possible. Ukraine has long proposed creating realistic and effective tools so that those who block sea trade routes, those who destroy, simply destroy normal shipping, and destroy energy infrastructure can be put in their place. Ukraine got through this winter - because of Russian strikes. The Middle East and the Gulf region are faced with essentially the same evil. Russia and the Iranian regime are helping each other for a reason. They must be stopped, it is the responsibility of every leader to ensure real stability, to guarantee security. We are definitely stronger together.

This week, Rustem Umerov has been to key capitals of the Gulf region and today he has already reported on the results. So far by phone. Tomorrow there will be a more substantive report online. There is an understanding of what new security agreements can be with countries in this region. There are specific things they can support us, Ukraine, support our defense – primarily air defense – and there are things we can support them with, and we already support them with. Ukrainian expert groups for protection against “shaheeds” are already in the relevant countries, there are daily reports on their task performance.

It is also important that there are signals from the American side about the readiness to continue work in the existing formats of negotiations to end Russia's war against Ukraine. There was a pause in negotiations, it is time to end it. And we are doing everything to make the negotiations truly meaningful. The Ukrainian team - namely the political part of the negotiating group - is already on its way, this Saturday we expect a meeting in the United States of America. Today we talked in detail about the negotiations with Umerov, Kirill Budanov, and David Arakhamia. Serhiy Kyslytsia will also participate in the meetings. Our priority is to do everything to make a decent peace possible. I thank everyone who helps with this.

A few more things.

I took part in the meeting of the European Council. The main things are quite clear and fair. Europe has already made a decision on guarantees of financial stability - this is a package of 90 billion euros for Ukraine for two years. And we hope that this decision of Europe will be implemented. Ukraine is in communication with representatives of the European Union on this. This is also important for our preparation for next winter.

Today, the Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal was at the report. Both on the situation in the energy system and on the measures that we need to take. The resilience plans for our Ukrainian regions have all been approved. Everyone understands what is needed. The responsibility – both at the government level, at the level of regions and communities – is very high.

Today we also spoke with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko about financial support, in particular, for winter preparations. But this all depends not only on Ukrainians. We quite rightly expect that Europe will be with us and will find a way to implement what has already been agreed.
