The “Unity for Action” program invites internally displaced persons to participate in a series of offline trainings on the topic: “Voice of IDPs: How to Effectively Interact with Governments and Influence Community Life”

The “Unity for Action” program, implemented by the international organization IREX in partnership with the Ukrainian charitable foundation “Stabilization Support Services” with the support of the US Department of State, invites internally displaced persons to participate in a series of offline trainings on the topic: “Voice of IDPs: How to Effectively Interact with Governments and Influence Community Life.” The trainings will be held in 18 regions of Ukraine.

The goal of the trainings is to strengthen the participation of internally displaced persons in community life, increase their awareness of mechanisms for interaction with local authorities, and use public participation tools.

During the event, participants will learn:

  • how to prepare an effective official appeal to the authorities;
  • how to use the e-petition tool;
  • on the activities of the Councils for Internally Displaced Persons and their role in taking into account the needs of IDPs in local programs.
