The head of the Luhansk region, Oleksiy Kharchenko, has repeatedly emphasized the priority of solving the problems of veterans and supporting military personnel.
It is precisely with the aim of establishing direct communication with veterans that he recently appointed Mykhailo Karabut, a soldier of the 3rd Army Corps, as an advisor.
During the weekly briefing, the head of the region announced that Mykhailo had created a group on WhatsApp called "Veteran Knows|Luhansk Region." He invited people to join the community and raise issues that require the participation of the regional authorities to resolve.
We remind you that you can join the group via "Search" or via the link: https://chat.whatsapp.com/J06FTlq8aAPJ2j9SpteaTX .
At the same time, Oleksiy Kharchenko informed about the support that the communities of the region provided to the Defenders.
Thus, the Krasnorychensk community continues the systematic implementation of the Program of Social Support for Military Personnel Participating in the Defense of Ukraine and Family Members of Fallen (Deceased) Military Personnel for 2026. UAH 1.8 million is allocated for financial assistance to the defenders and families of the fallen Heroes.
The Aydar SVA allocated 940 thousand hryvnias to solve social and household issues for 94 people. Another 105 thousand hryvnias were paid to seven servicemen who are directly participating in hostilities.
Special attention was paid to supporting the families of the fallen Heroes: two families received payments totaling 100 thousand hryvnias.
Also, assistance in the amount of 30 thousand hryvnias was paid to three combatants who became disabled as a result of injuries or illnesses related to the war.
29 active military personnel from the Starobilska community received one-time assistance in April. For this purpose, 435 thousand hryvnias were allocated from the Starobilska community budget.
During the meeting with Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs Ruslan Prykhodko, the issues of forming a unified register of veterans of the Luhansk region, providing veterans with housing, and memorializing the memory of fallen Heroes were discussed.
In addition, the head of the regional state administration emphasized that the communities of the region are conducting a summer health campaign and called for organizing meaningful and useful recreation for children.
In particular, the Siverskodonetsk CMA is currently developing a need to provide health care for children aged 7 to 18 who belong to privileged categories at the Artek International Children's Center.
